BET's 2010 edition of 'Rip The Runway' is headed for the small screen this month.

Hosted by Nicki Minaj and actor Pooch Hall, 'Rip The Runway' is set to premiere Monday, March 15 on BET.

As previously reported, this year's edition features performances from Ludacris, Soulja Boy, B.o.B, Estelle, Trina, Nicki Minaj and more with of course, the best in fashion on the runway.

'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Dwight Eubanks will also make an appearance, giving one lucky winner a makeover and chance to walk the runway.

Catch BET's Rip the Runway Monday, March 15 at 10pm.

P. Diddy was accompanied by a team of perfume sprayers on a recent night out.

The rapper amazed revellers at London's Runway club by having the DJ play a 30-minute set of his songs to signal his arrival and then insisting on having his own Sean John fragrance sprayed into the room every 20 minutes.

A source said: "All eyes were on Diddy. You could smell him coming a mile off. It was as if a king had arrived in the building - but you could hardly see him under all that mist from the perfume.

"His songs were played back-to-back for 30 minutes for his grand entrance. Girls were throwing themselves at him - it was wild."

According to onlookers, the 40-year-old star - real name Sean Combs - insisted on only drinking Ciroc, the upmarket brand of vodka he endorses, and was followed everywhere by an assistant carrying his scarf and coat in case he got cold.

Sad news: Corey Haim dies at 38

LOS ANGELES -- Actor and former teen idol Corey Haim has died at the age of 38, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to KTLA.

Haim died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent accidental overdose, according to the LAPD's North Hollywood Division.

Coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie said an autopsy would determine an official cause of death.

Haim was found unresponsive inside an Oakwood apartment, between Burbank and the Hollywood Hills, police said.

His mother was at the home at the time.

Jay Z Pulls Out Of Casino Scheme

Rap mogul JAY-Z has scrapped plans to invest in a new racetrack casino project in New York after state officials allegedly ordered all the backers to hand over detailed records of their finances.

The hip-hop star owns a share in the Aqueduct Entertainment Group (AEG) which won a contract to add video slot machines to New York City's Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens.

But Jay-Z - real name Shawn Carter - has now pulled out after officials brought in new rules which will force all the investors to submit comprehensive records on their own finances, and those of their spouses, to the state, according to the New York Observer.

The order would mean the rap star and his superstar wife Beyonce would have to turn over private details of their finances.

The project is now reportedly set to go ahead without the star's investment.

DMX -- The First Arrest of 2010
DMX was arrested earlier today in Arizona -- and now his lawyer is reaching out to the one man who he believes can save him ... Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The details of the arrest are unclear -- but the rapper's lawyer Gary Jenkins tells us "He's been battling addiction for some time and he's in need of treatment."

Jenkins also tells us, "We're hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him."

DMX -- aka Earl Simmons -- was arrested a bazillion times over the last two years for all sorts of reasons ... including drug charges.

Jenkins added, "He's a talented man ... we're praying for him."

UPDATE: We've just obtained DMX's mug shot ... and it's got to be one of the saddest we've ever seen.

We've also learned more details of DMX's arrest. We're told he allegedly violated the terms of his probation by using illegal drugs over the last nine months.

Representatives for Tashera Simmons have confirmed with AllHipHop.com that a tell all book titled Strength of Woman is in the process of revealing a “not so glamorous life” in the autobiographical work.

As “Mrs. DMX,” Tashera was prominently featured in DMX’s reality show DMX: Soul Of A Man, which chronicled his turbulent life in 2006.

DMX has been arrested every year since 1999, on multiple charges, ranging from impersonating a police officer to animal abuse.

Additionally, the rapper, who has been married to Tashera since 1999, has been hit with several paternity suits over the years.

In 2004, a woman from Buffalo New York and another from Baltimore, Maryland accused him of fathering their children.

D'Angelo Excited For Album, Pleads Not Guilty...
D'Angelo may be in some serious trouble with law enforcement for soliciting a prostitute Saturday but, the R&B singer remains optimistic about his first album to be released in a decade.

"We know there is a lot of speculation in regard to the arrest of D'Angelo in New York City this past weekend. We would like his fans and the public at large to know that D'Angelo has pled not guilty -- and is contesting the allegations made against him, a rep for D'Angelo confirmed in a statement Monday. "Also know that, he is in good health and extremely excited about his forthcoming new album.

While little is known about the album, which has been tentatively titled "James River," it is believed to be set for release later this year.

As far as his case however, D'Angelo's statement goes on to ask the public to refrain from jumping to any conclusions.

"D'Angelo would like to personally thank all of his fans for the outpouring of concern, and appreciates if all would allow the American justice system to resolve the matter before jumping to any conclusions."

As previously reported, the singer allegedly offered an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex.

Rapper Drake got the seal of approval from an unlikely fan: movie citric Roger Ebert. The Chicago reviewer took to his Twitter page to respond to a shout-out from Drake in his debut single 'Over' in which he references the Chicago film critic's famous "two thumbs up" line.

"Two thumbs up Ebert & Roeper is now a viral catch-phrase?" Ebert tweeted. "Thank you Drake!" The 67-year old film critic didn't stop there with his tweets about Drizzy. He also said that the Canadian rapper was his granddaughter's "great favorite" and that the mention increased his credibility.

The Notorious B.I.G's Mother Pleas For Justice

The Notorious B.I.G's mother has launched a plea to find the murderer still at large over her son's killing.

The rap legend was gunned down 13 years ago today (09.03.10) but his mother, Voletta Wallace, said she is still no closer to justice for her son, with ongoing investigations and lawsuits in the case still open and inconclusive.

Voletta told MTV news: "I thank you for the opportunity to touch my son's fans and for the network's continued support of me and the family, but it's been 13 years, I miss my son, his children miss their father, and the murderer is still at large."

Although there are numerous theories about the shooting of the 'Hypnotize' rapper, who died aged 24, a former detective on the case, Russell Poole - who has since left the New York police force - believes two corrupt police officers were responsible.

Will.i.am thinks people are only successful when they give to charity.

The Black Eyed Peas star - who set up the i.am scholarship fund to fund college education for underprivileged teenagers two years ago - believes it is important to be generous with wealth and to help others.

He said: "It's one thing to make it - and you've got your own apartment, or house, or car - and you keep it for you. That's not making it. Making it is spreading it."

The 'Boom Boom Pow' star came up with the idea of a scholarship - which covers rent, food and books - after receiving a large pay cheque for deejaying at a private party.

He explained to People magazine: "I did the math and I could send three kids to school."

Katt Williams Sued For $1 Mil Over Attack Dog;...

Katt Williams is being sued by a recording studio owner who claims the comedian stiffed him on a $28,600 bill.

When the owner attempted to collect from the funny man, things got nasty. Merion Powers filed the lawsuit in Fulton County Superior Court, claiming Williams, of Detroit, used his studio to record his comedy routines.

Williams allegedly showed up to Powers’ studio in October 2009 with his “attack dog.” Upon a verbal command from Williams, his dog pounced on a dog owned by Powers, causing an injury to the animal that required veterinary treatment.

In December, Williams asked Powers to meet him at the Four Seasons Hotel to discuss the incident. When he arrived, he allegedly told Williams he was thinking of filing criminal charges over the dog attack.

Williams allegedly threatened to kill Powers in the hotel room, while his attack dog circled Powers snarling at the man. One of Williams‘ bodyguards then restrained Powers from behind while Williams punched the man in the face, as the attack dog stood by, “apparently waiting for the attack signal.”

Powers seeks at least $1 million dollars in damages.

Jermaine Jackson Plans A New Michael Jackson...

Jermaine Jackson is planning a Michael Jackson tribute concert in London this summer, to mark the anniversary of the King of Pop's death.

Previous plans to honor Jackson in Vienna, Austria were shelved last year, but Jermaine hasn't given up hope, and he's booked London's Wembley Arena for a star-studded performance on June 8th. The show will be called Tribute By Jermaine, and will be filmed for a future DVD release

Jermaine tells Undercover.com.au, "The best way and most suitable way is to assemble the world's largest tribute in history that is only fitting to a man who moved the hearts and souls of an unimaginable amount."

He has yet to reveal who will perform at the London show.

Michael Jackson died from a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles home on June 25th. An investigation into his death is still ongoing.

On Friday (March 5) Beyoncé appeared with her mother Tina Knowles at the Phoenix House substance abuse center in Brooklyn, New York, where the two finally unveiled their longtime plan to open a cosmetology center.

Mayor Bloomberg was on hand for the ceremony, as the singer and her mother described the details of their new "seven-month cosmetology training course for adult men and women." Beyoncé, who grew up watching her mother operate a salon in Houston, Texas said it was something she felt would benefit women who were enrolled in the addiction recovery program. "I felt like they needed something that was geared towards women -- something that would teach them skills that would give them hope even after the Phoenix House," she said.

Lil Wayne Finally Set To Be Sentenced, Begin...

After a delay at his request due to dental surgery, a postponement Tuesday because of a courthouse fire and then rescheduling his court date Wednesday, Lil Wayne is set to finally be sentenced and begin his one-year prison term stemming from a 2007 gun arrest on Monday (March 8).

The rapper was set to be sentenced last month, but Wayne's attorney requested a delay so the rapper could undergo eight root canals. Judge Charles H. Solomon agreed to the last-minute request and rescheduled the proceedings for Tuesday. Then, just hours before he was set to appear before Judge Charles H. Solomon on Tuesday, a fire broke out at the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. At the first sign of smoke, the building was evacuated and all appearances were postponed. Lil Wayne's attorney, Stacey Richman, confirmed to MTV News that her client's case had temporarily been postponed as a result of the fire. The next day, Weezy's court date was once again rescheduled.

Wayne is now set to appear before Solomon on Monday afternoon and plead guilty to attempted gun possession. He's then expected to turn himself in immediately to begin his prison term. Lil Wayne has spent his unexpected free time partying in NYC, traveling back to his Miami home and, of course, recording.

Red Carpet Arrest at Academy Awards

TMZ has learned cops had to spring into action Sunday when a non-Hollywood type ran onto the red carpet.

It all went down around 1:30 PM PST -- right before the stars began to arrive.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe a 28-year-old dude scaled a 6 or 7 foot fence, got on to the red carpet and began "skipping."

We're told he then broke in to a run -- but cops immediately caught up with him and escorted the dude to the ground.

The man was arrested for trespassing -- he's currently being held on $5,000 bail.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sandra Bullock paid her dues in Hollywood for more than 20 years. She was rewarded Sunday, winning the best-actress Oscar for playing a tough white Southern woman who adopted a black child in "The Blind Side."

Bullock had repeatedly said she didn't think she was going to win, although the 45-year-old actress was a heavy favorite.

"Did I really earn this or did I just wear you all down?" she said after accepting the golden statue from Sean Penn.

In the closest race of the acting categories, Bullock was up against Meryl Steep in "Julie & Julia," former winner Helen Mirren in "The Last Station," and breakout stars Gabourey Sidibe of "Precious" and Carey Mulligan of "An Education" for their first-time leading roles.

Bullock had already won the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe awards, and tied Streep at the Broadcast Film Critics awards. Streep also won at the Globes.

Ice Cube is planning to reunite with Dr Dre on his new album, 'I Am The West'.

The rapper said he wants to work with the producer - whom he appeared alongside in groundbreaking rap group NWA in the 80s - on his comeback album, which is due out this summer.

He wrote on his blog: "I wanna answer a few questions you have for ya' boy - Beats by Dre? Not yet. Haven't asked him, but I will. Any collabos? Not yet (sic)."

Ice, who is also become an actor, appearing in films including 'Friday' and 'Three Kings', also said 'I Am The West' - a reference to his roots on the West Coast of the US - will have a political slant to it.

Jamaicans will honour late reggae greats BOB MARLEY and PETER TOSH when the doors to the nation's music museum open next year (11).

Rare pieces of memorabilia will go on display at the Jamaica Music Museum, which will document and preserve artifacts from the Caribbean country's rich music history.

Items to be exhibited include the album Marley produced before he became famous - Martha Velez's Escape from Babylon - as well as a cassette tape that features Tosh performing a blues track with Rolling Stones stars Keith Richards and Sir Mick Jagger in 1977.

The country's preservationists took a hit after historic film footage and thousands of original records were stolen from a collection of archives in Kingston during a raid in January 2008.

The reels have still not been located - and government authorities are appealing for donations to help invest in the new music museum, according to the Associated Press.

DJ Premier Speaks on Guru, Clarifies Previous...

After several back and forth statements from Solar and the Elam family, DJ Premier recently revealed his feelings regarding his old partner Guru and the controversy surrounding him.

On his HeadQCourterz radio show last night (March 5), Premier advised that he had previously made no official statements on Guru’s situation, despite numerous quotes over the past week carrying his name.

“First of all anyone that’s been seeing any statements from me, it’s all false,” Premier explained. “If it wasn’t told to someone directly, it’s not coming from me. I have never made a statement until today, and I will not make a statement until all the facts are given from the proper people. And the proper people are not giving the facts, so there’s nothing to say until we get that.”

Producer Solar broke the news on Tuesday (March 2) that his rhyme partner Guru (Keith Elam) had successful surgery, and was expected to make a complete recovery from a massive heart attack.

A statement purported to be from Guru himself soon followed, stating that Solar is “the only person who has accurate info on my situation.”

Grammy Award-winning R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested early yesterday after allegedly offering an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex while cruising alone through the West Village — with $12,000 stashed in his SUV.

D’Angelo, 36, whose real name is Michael Archer, was in his top-of-the-line Range Rover at Greenwich and Horatio streets at about 2:30 a.m. when he spotted a woman he took to be a prostitute, sources said.

He was arrested and charged with solicitation after asking the woman for sex, the sources said. His manager declined to comment.

Soul legend STEVIE WONDER has been honoured for his contributions to arts and literature in France - 30 years after he was first chosen to receive the title.

The Superstition hitmaker was named a Commander of the Arts and Letters in 1981, but he has never officially been allocated the prize due to "scheduling conflicts".

The title was formally bestowed on Wonder at a ceremony in Paris on Saturday (06Mar10).

After he was handed the award by French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand, Wonder dedicated the prize to his late mother, saying, "I receive this honour in memory of my mother and in memory of all of those that have made it possible for me to stand here today."

Mitterrand told the singer, "As citizen, administrator and culture minister I just called to say we love you."

Previous winners of the award include Roger Moore, Dennis Hopper and Patti Smith.

The Roots' 'How I Got Over' Out in June

The Roots

After months of taunting patient fans, the Roots have finally announced an official release date for their long overdue album 'How I Got Over.' According to a Thursday night (March 4) tweet from drummer and producer Questlove, the group's ninth studio album will finally hit stores on June 8 -- a year later than it's original release date.

Initially scheduled for a June 2009 release, the album was pushed back to the fall and again in early 2010, but neither of the dates panned out. According to the Roots, the delays were a result of excessive time spent in the studio. In October, Quest told Billboard that the group was constantly recording new material, making it difficult to complete the project as early as they intended. "I think we have about 723 jams in the can," Quest said. No tracklist for the album has been made available yet.
