Corinne Bailey Rae - Bailey Rae's Home Life...

Corinne Bailey Rae

British soul singer CORINNE BAILEY RAE struggled to cope in her marital home after her husband died - because she hates living by herself.

The Put Your Records On hitmaker was left devastated following the sudden passing of Jason Rae, a member of superproducer Mark Ronson's band, who died from an accidental drug overdose in March, 2008.

And spending time at their house in Leeds, England was tough for Bailey Rae following the tragedy.

She tells Britain's Red magazine, "Leeds is my home and will always be my base. I'm gradually learning to enjoy living on my own, but it's a very new thing and, to be honest, I'm still getting used to it.

"But people are always descending on me, there's always someone around my house, which I need - in an ideal world I'd live in a commune."

"I'd love to do a film with Mariah," Cannon shared recently.

While the opportunity to work with his wife on camera is something he'd love, Cannon says the project must be funny -- not serious, like 'Precious'. ".. it would have to be a comedy," say Cannon. "She's the funniest woman in the world, she just cracks me up all the time."

Heather B. Returns With DJ Premier For 'Open Bar' Heather B(AllHipHop News) DJ Premier will assist Heather B in ending an 8-year album drought by executive-producing her new LP, Open Bar.

Heather B's last project was 2002’s Eternal Affairs. With production from Pete Rock and DJ Premier, the album met with positive reviews despite not charting on Billboard.

Since then, Heather diversified her portfolio with appearances in commercials, and running a successful business out of the New York metropolitan area.

Although Open Bar is just her third studio album, Heather B has been in the entertainment industry well over 10 years, receiving her first national exposure as a cast member of the original MTV Real World season in 1992.

In 1996, she partnered with Boogie Down Productions for her debut Takin’ Mine, which delivered two regional hits in “All Glocks Down” and “If Headz Only Knew.”

She cites these experiences as the reason her current music is more confident, and immune to the pressures of confirming to today’s image-driven expectations of female rappers.

“When I first came out, I felt like I had to do it and now I want to do it because I’m grown and my music is coming from a sincere and confident place,” Heather explained to AllHipHop.com. “I’m not concerned with any trends or industry misconceptions; I want to put out some good music.”

While Premier is handling the new project’s direction, two other confirmed producers are Pete Rock and Kenny Parker.

The latter is behind on the boards on Open Bar’s lead single “The Game Don’t Stop,” which Heather uses to make a statement on the importance of creative, well-executed Hip-Hop.

Swizz Beatz Opens Up About Divorce From Mashonda

Swizz Beatz

Now that all the hoopla behind his divorce from singer Mashonda has died down, producer Swizz Beatz is getting candid about the ordeal. Although the former couple have slammed each other in the press, Swizz says getting divorced was extremely difficult.

In an appearance on New York radio personality DJ Enuff's reality show 'The Wizards of NYC' Swizzy opened up about his former relationship. "I'm lucky in a lot of ways with my divorce, but it's like the hardest thing I've ever been through -- by far. You know what I'm saying? But it was a learning experience."

The couple split back in 2008, but news of Swizz's relationship with singer Alicia Keys fueled reports of infidelity. Adding insult to injury, Mashonda went after Keys in an open letter accusing her of breaking up the marriage. Swizz denies that Keys had anything to do with the fall of his marriage and was unhappy at how the story unfolded in the press. "The thing that upset me the most was the approach from the other side," he said. "It didn't have to be like that because it's false."

Lady Gaga Puts An End To Hermaphrodite Rumors

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga
has poked fun at reports she's a hermaphrodite at the beginning of her racy new video for "Telephone" by stripping off in a jail cell.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker is led to through a prison as inmates hurl abuse and threats at her, and then thrown down on her bed by two tough female guards, who strip her.

As the music for the short film, which also features collaborator Beyonce, starts, Gaga climbs up the bars to her cell, wearing nothing but fishnet stockings, high heels and tape to cover her nipples.

Her genitalia is pixelated, but it's clear reports the singer has both male and female sex organs are far fetched.

And to make the point clear, an inmate is overheard saying, "I told you she didn't have a d**k."

Lady Gaga penned the script for the nine-and-a-half minute video, which also features Tyrese Gibson, with director Jonas Akerlund.

"It's imperative for me to help all of the younger singers who come up behind me because I don't want anyone to suffer through what I suffered through," she explained. "I almost ended up with nothing; meaning dead, broke and whatever you want to call it. I was given this position not just for myself but to be an example to them because they are me!"
