The Christian Youth Foundation is a non-profit organization (Tax ID: 95-4160254) dedicated to educating the youth (and general public) regarding America’s great Jazz musicians of the past and present, by establishing April 23rd as “World Jazz Education Day.” This proclamation evolved out of the Central Jazz Project (Tax ID: 80-0585905) which aims to educate youth in Jazz history, instrumentation and performances via live concert performances of legendary Jazz masters. Proceeds from the concerts/performances will also benefit multiple causes:
(a) Curriculum for middle-school aged students regarding ancient arts , developed by Mr. Jerome Berman, Art Director of the California Museum of Ancient Arts
(b) CYF’s re-entry program, endorsed by Professor Cecil L. Murray, Dean of the School of Religious Ethics, USC
(c) HerbaLife which provides self-employment for previously-incarcerated persons, endorsed by HebaLife coach Bert Collier
(d) Simplified phonetics for ESL via “Practical Word Power”, supported by ESL author Richard Cavalier
